PLANNING applications for disabled access into two commercial premises in Barnard Castle received differing recommendations.
Barnard Castle Town Council opposed plan for an access ramp at the NatWest bank in the Market Place, while supporting plans at the Britannia Building Society, in Horsemarket.
The NatWest application was an amended application previously refused because it obstructed the pavement.
The council heard the Britannia Building Society's application involved practically no change to the front of the premises.
The final decision on both applications will be made by Teesdale District Council.
