A CHARITY working with people with mental health problems is more than £1,000 better off after embroiderers got weaving.
More than 600 people flocked to Pinchinthorpe Hall, near Guisborough, recently to see an embroidery exhibition organised by Shirley Spenceley and members of her embroidery classes.
The £1,076.90p the exhibition raised has been divided between Northallerton and the Dales Mencap and Middlesbrough Gateway Mencap.
Mrs Spenceley has held embroidery classes at the hall for more than five years, but this was the first time their work has been exhibited.
