Houghton had 90 runs to spare defeating Hylton after posting 125 for three, writes Malcolm Pratt.
Top performer was Shaun Hauxwell who made a half century and when Hylton batted and were all out for 35 James Miller claimed three of the wickets for just four runs in five overs.
Castle Eden were also in scoring form in their clash with Murton ending with 131 for one on top mainly as a result of the efforts of Keith Daley, with an unbeaten 62 and Jonathan Malcolm (27).
In contrast, Murton struggled for runs and were restricted to 45 for eight as Callum Hardy took two for three in four overs and Gareth Elliott three for 13 from the three overs he delivered.
Seaham Park managed 122 for four defeating Bill Quay by 30 runs. Lee Chapman top scored with 53, Adam Wallace added 22 and Matthew Richards 19 before Bill quay were pegged to 92 for eight.
Man of the match Chapman captured four wickets for just four runs while for Bill Quay Milligan scored 25 and Dunn 19.
At Boldon CA, Silksworth were comfortable winners with 40 runs in hand. Adam Thompson carried h9is bat for 32 Jordan Crake added 29 and Craig Neild 23 to the Silksowrth total of 105 for four.
Riddell captured two of the wickets for 21 runs and then made a top scoring 25 in Boldon's reply of 65 for nine.
Craig Gardner Scott Davison and Adam Thompson all took a couple of wickets for Silksworth.
