Sacriston enjoyed a ten wicket victory at home to Shotley Bridge when Graeme Stevenson and Malcolm Hubber both produced form, writes Malcolm Pratt.
Stevenson returned the magnificent figures six wickets for 12 runs in five overs when Shotley Bridge were dismissed for 43, a target which Sacriston found comfortable as Hubber carried his bat for 26 which included five boundaries.
Annfield Plain suffered a seven wickets defeat visiting Blaydon where they managed only 34 for eight in the allotted overs. Mark Mason came through with five runs and Andrew Miller three for six in the Blaydon attack and the home side secured the necessary runs for the loss of just three wickets.
Stephen Smith was prominent with bat and ball for Lintz in their fixture with Greenside. When Lintz made first use of the wicket and realised 96 for three Smith carried his bat for 54 before taking three wickets for just 11 runs reducing Greenside to 52. Nathan Clennell, with three for 23 and Dan Contal, who captured three for nine were also in good form with the ball form Lintz.
