THIS is the first image of how a £4.5m Darlington school will look.
Work is due to start later in the summer on the project for Skerne Park Primary School, a SureStart base, neighbourhood nursery and other facilities on the junior school site.
As well as improved facilities for pupils, there will be day care services catering for youngsters from early morning through to the late evening.
There will also be a UK Online Centre and resource centre, which will give adults the chance to sign up for a variety of courses.
Councillor Stephen Harker, Darlington Borough Council's cabinet member for education, said: "This is an exciting project and when it is finished it will provide first-class facilities to benefit the whole community."
