DURHAM County Council is looking for school buddies who work to prevent others being bullied.
The Karl Peart Award is given annually to a young person who has worked to prevent bullying in their school.
The award is in memory of Karl, from Ashington, Northumberland, who took his own life last year because he was bullied. It is supported by his family.
A first prize of £100 is available, as well as £50 and £25 prizes donated by children's party venue Mr Twisters.
Nominations for the award are being handled by the council's anti-bullying service in conjunction with Tyne Tees Television.
Nominations can be from parents, teachers or members of the community. They should be sent to Val McFarlane, who can be contacted on 0191-3840 707, by June 11.
The award will be presented on Tyne Tees Television.
