Traditional fun for all the family will be on offer when a North-East village holds a summer carnival next month.
Villagers in Mickleton, Teesdale, turn out for a day of fun and games every year. Organisers say 2004's event is all set to be the best yet.
The carnival, on Saturday, June 5, at 1pm, in Newton Lodge field, will feature a host of activities including a carnival queen float, coconut shy, skittles, bouncy castle and magic show.
There will also be music from the Rowan Pipe Band, homemade teas and a treasure trail, with prizes donated by The Northern Echo.
Entry forms for the trail cost £1 and are available from the village shop, service station and tourist information office.
Nomination forms for the carnival queen are available at Chapel View post office.
* Carnival organisers are still collecting donations for their stalls.
