A MISSING jacket worn by Robin Chard could hold vital clues for detectives investigating his death.
The body of Mr Chard, 47, was found in a field near the Safeway warehouse, in Abbotsford Road, Gateshead, on April 24.
Two Gateshead men have been charged with his murder. Christopher Smith, 24, of Pankhurst Gardens, Wardley, and Joseph Mee, 27, of Whitemere Gardens, also Wardley, are due back at Newcastle Crown Court on Tuesday, July 27.
Mr Chard had been out for drinks with friends and was making his way home from Heworth Metro Station.
Detectives are keen to trace his medium-sized, blue, waist-length jacket, which had a fawn-coloured collar and a Timberland logo on the left side.
