A ROCK concert is to be staged in the North-East to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research.
The show, called Rock of Ages, will be staged at the Glebe Centre, Murton, east Durham, on Saturday, May 29. It will include performances by the group Clarity followed by Sunburst, Benny's Blues. Topping the bill will be the band Krisis.
Other attractions will include a raffle, disco and a "bid for a song" in which budding vocalists, sponsored by their friends, will get a chance to display their talents.
The concert is already a sell-out and all proceeds will go to the Macmillan charity.
