David Stephenson moved up to share the top spot with Darren Tinkler after he came through to beat Neil Campbell by the odd point. In the first frame Campbell looked to have put Stephenson in a great deal of trouble but he pulled off a magnificent clearance. In the second frame Stephenson went in-off the break with Campbell clearing to the black but them snookering himself. He got out of the snooker but Stephenson took advantage to pull off another good clearance.
In the third Stephenson went down to the black but missed an awkward double. Campbell cleared to his last two colours and then laid a successful snooker, using the resultant two shots to clean up.
Chris Peacock pulled off a whitewash win against Aaron Cowan in a game, which could have swung either way. Cowan had a great chance in the first frame but managed to run out of position and allowed Peacock to take over. The second frame was scrappy with Peacock taking charge of the end game. In the third Cowan was again in command but a poor positional shot saw him forced to take on a difficult pot past one of Peacock's ball. He mis-hit the shot and potted his opponents ball, giving Peacock an easy route to victory.
