Evenwood progressed in the Teesside Valve and Fitting Shield Under-15 Cup with a 34 run victory over Tudhoe.
Batting first, Evenwood totaled 88 for six which included 41 by Foster while for Tudhoe Lucas Jackson had three for 16 in five overs and Daniel Petts took two for 12 from the five overs he bowled, writes Malcolm Pratt,
Petts then top scored with 21 but Tudhoe managed only 54 for five as Robinson returned two for 11 and Matthews two for 15 the pair each delivering five overs.
In the Bob Hay Under-18 Cup, Brandon defeated Washington by six wickets. Faced with a target of 38 they were indebted to man of the match Ian Hyde who carried his bat for 21 in a total of 41 for four. Two of the wickets were taken by Philip Hooper for seven runs in four overs. When Washington batted first they managed 37 for eight has Hyde picked up two wickets for four runs in five overs.
