A FOOTBALL team from Chester-le-Street triumphed in a thrilling schools cup final.
Shildon Sunnydale Leisure Centre staged the final of the Durham Schools FA Under-14 Girls' County Cup Final.
Hosts Sunnydale took on Park View, from Chester-le-Street, who won the match 6-3.
Park View reached the semi-final of the Under-13s Coca-Cola Cup this year, after they won the competition last year.
Both schools have players on the highly successful Durham County under-16 girls' team, which held national champions Mersyside to a hard-fought and well-deserved draw in the Northern Counties Final.
