A MAN is preparing for a walk on the high side later this summer to raise money for charity.
Terry Glover, who works in the information technology department at North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, will do a wing walk at the Old Buckenham airfield, Norfolk, on July 25.
The walk will involve him being strapped to the wing of an aeroplane, which will then go on a short flight.
Mr Glover is hoping to raise about £3,000 for a leukaemia charity, the Anthony Nolan Trust.
So far, he has raised just over £1,000 thanks to a donation from a Leeds web design company, Chapter Eight.
Mr Glover said: "I am really looking forward to it and I have never had a fear of heights.
"It is an opportunity to do something that I wouldn't normally do at the same time as raising money for charity."
Anyone wanting to make a donation can give money online at www.justgiving.com/tbg.
