RAILWAY enthusiasts from all parts of the UK gathered to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of Middlesbrough Model Railway Club.
Members from the club held their annual exhibition of working layouts in the town's Newport Settlement over the weekend.
A new project for the model railway club's anniversary is a full-scale layout of Billing-ham junction, complete with handmade prefabs, which is expected to take a couple of years to complete.
All the displays at the exhibition have been produced by hand, from the tree-dotted landscapes to replica stations from the days of flower beds on platforms and coal-fires in waiting rooms.
