CATS and dogs can get their teeth checked free of charge at a Darlington animal hospital next month.
The Grange Veterinary Hospital, in Victoria Road, is offering the dental check-ups to celebrate national Pet Smile Month.
Throughout June, veterinary nurses at the hospital will give owners advice on how to prevent their pet getting oral disease.
There will also be free gifts for those attending for check-ups.
A spokeswoman for the hospital said: "Looking after pets' teeth is probably the single most effective thing you can do for their health, as poor dental hygiene can lead to serious illnesses."
To claim a free check-up for your pet telephone (01325) 465371.
