THE cabinet of a Teesside council has been reshuffled after its cabinet member for environmental improvement resigned.
Zetland councillor Bob Stanway will replace Councillor Barbara Harpham, who resigned from the cabinet of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council through pressure of work.
The Saltburn councillor, who became the director of the National Heart Research Fund in January, said: "I have battled to do the two jobs but I found it was just not possible to work full-time and do the job of cabinet member.
"I resign with deep regret because I have really enjoyed the challenge and believe we have done a lot of good work since I took over."
Coun Stanway has moved from his portfolio in charge of rural affairs, which has been taken over by Hutton councillor Graham Jeffery.
