KING'S Manor School in Acklam is celebrating following the result of its third and most successful Ofsted inspection report.
A team of 14 inspectors visited in March, spending a week in the school, observing teaching and interviewing pupils, staff, governors and parents.
The main findings of the report refer to the very good leadership of the headteacher and senior management team, good teaching and learning and the positive impact of the school's specialist sports college status.
It reads: "This is a very caring school where the needs of the individual are paramount. The pupils feel safe and secure and are very well supported and guided in everything they do."
Progress since the last inspection was described as good overall, with very good progress made in the curriculum, partnerships with parents and leadership.
Headteacher Morgan Wallace said: "I am delighted with the report, which is a fair and accurate reflection of a very successful, effective and caring school. Staff, governors, pupils and parents work very hard together to make King's Manor such a successful school and it is very pleasing that the inspectors recognised the quality of the work we do, particularly our care for each individual pupil.
"The new inspection framework, introduced in September last year, is the most demanding yet. It is a real achievement therefore to have received such a positive report and important confirmation for pupils and parents of the quality of their school."
