ANOTHER two tenants have moved into a riverside office development in Newcastle.

ARB Interior Linings and Look C have moved into the Waterfront development at Newburn Riverside, Newcastle, meaning the scheme is now more than 90 per cent let.

ARB supplies interior wall coverings and partitions for the housing and commercial property sectors and will service the whole of the North-East from their premises.

Look C supplies and installs security cameras in and around the region, servicing some of the larger commercial sites.

Alan Bartle, managing director of ARB, said: "The Waterfront offered us new, modern premises. In order to deliver materials to over 80 on-site employees, we needed to be within minutes of the A1 and the surrounding road networks."

Simon Taylor, lettings surveyor for UK Land Estates, said: "We are delighted to welcome ARB and Look C to the Waterfront development. Newburn Riverside is a flagship scheme, home not only to One NorthEast, but also Defra and the Northumberland and Tyne and Wear Strategic Health Authority."

UK Land Estates is planning a further stage of industrial and office accommodation at The Waterfront to satisfy demand, and it is hoped building work will start in the summer.

Newburn Riverside is part of a 220-acre site reclaimed by One NorthEast, the regional development agency, in a £46m clean up.

The design for The Waterfront development is part of the ongoing regeneration project, seeing the Newburn Riverside site transformed into a 21st Century industrial and commercial business park.
