SOLO was the short-legged star of a sponsored dog walk to raise money for a cancer charity.
For the plucky sausage dog joined nine other canines in the 12-mile sponsored trek organised by staff at Wilton House Veterinary Clinic, in Guisborough.
His owner, receptionist Jane Feeney, said of the six-year-old smooth-haired Dachshund: "I thought he did really well for such a short-legged dog.
"He doesn't normally walk that far and he was tired afterwards. He slept soundly all night and didn't move until morning!"
Solo, who stoutly brought up the rear of Sunday's round-trip to Commondale, was also accompanied by ten humans, made up of clinic staff, family and friends.
The walk was arranged as part of the ongoing Macmillan Miles Challenge, which encourages people to do sponsorship activities for the charity.
The clinic hopes to have raised more than £500 from the event and anyone wishing to make further donations is welcome to call at the practice.
Senior vet Mark Webster said: "It was a fantastic effort by everyone connected with Wilton House - although I'm sure their dogs covered much more ground than they did."
