A MAGICIAN is returning to his former school to perform tricks he has never performed before in the name of charity.

Daniel Hunt and his partner, Annette Claire, have taken time out from their tour with The Chuckle Brothers' show Paul and Barry Potty In The Chamber of Horrors, to take to the stage at Staindrop Comprehensive School, tonight.

They will be joined by entertainer Ashley George, performing stunts on roller skates, and Staindrop School Student Dancers.

Daniel returns to the school every year to perform a show for charity. This year, the event will raise money for the Butterwick Hospice and Cancer Research UK.

He said: "These are two charities very close to my heart, because my dad died of cancer three years ago.

"I like to come back to the school every year because everybody has always been so supportive of what I have done.

"There will be a lot of brand new illusions in the show, some of which haven't been seen before, so the school will be getting a sneak preview.''

Daniel and his team have had to work extra hard to put on the show because all of his stage props were stolen in January.

He said: "Unfortunately we did not get anything back, and the illusion builder has had to work through the night to get everything ready.''

Tickets are still available for tonight's show, which starts at 7pm, at the school. They cost £3 for adults and £1.50 for children.
