ROYAL Ascot is coming to Guisborough next month to raise funds for the Teesside Hospice.

Women are invited to Gisborough Hall, off Whitby Road, Guisborough, which will be transformed into a Royal Ascot Ladies Day on Thursday, June 17.

There will be a two-course lunch followed by an Ascot-style screen racing session at the event, organised by the Teesside Hospice.

Margaret Kent, head of fundraising for the hospice, said: "This is our alternative to Royal Ascot and gives ladies around the area the chance to experience this great event closer to home.

"It also gives people the chance to own their own racehorse for a day and dress in that special outfit accompanied by their Ascot- style hat."

Tickets for the event, which starts at 11.30am, cost £15 each and can be booked by contacting Teesside Hospice on (01642) 355866.

All proceeds from the day will go to the Teesside Hospice Care Foundation.
