A TEDDY bear with a taste for adventure has been travelling the world with a North flying squadron.
Terrence Bruin has been adopted by the 100 Squadron at RAF Leeming, North Yorkshire, to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance.
He has already been on an operation to Iraq and flown with the US Air Force on a secret mission.
And when his adventures end in the autumn, he will be auctioned on the air ambulance's website, along with his flight logbook and a photo album.
Flight Lieutenant Mia Armstrong said: "The air ambulance came to visit us and brought with them a bear which they wanted somebody to adopt for the summer.
"We are always up for a laugh and looking for ways to raise money for charity so we agreed to take him. He has been all over since then."
Terrence, who wears a bandanna with the squadron's skull and crossbones logo, is currently accompanying the squadron's Hawk display pilot, Flight Lieutenant Dave Harvey, to air shows around the country.
Flt Lt Armstrong said: "We have really enjoyed having him.
"Hopefully there will be someone out there who can give him a loving home in his retirement."
