HOUSE hunters are being offered their own piece of Chelsea chic.
One of the successes of the Chelsea Flower Show last year has been transplanted to Consett in County Durham.
The Catwalk Garden by Newcastle designer Alan Capper is a horticultural interpretation of a fashion show, and was launched at the flower show last year by model Jodie Kidd.
The piece was sponsored by Durham firm Rivergreen Developments, which has installed the garden in a £120,000 three-bedroom terraced house, for sale on its new Derwent Garden Village estate.
Model Ayla filled in for Jodie Kidd as the garden was unveiled.
The estate of 66 properties is a mixture of different styles of homes, from two-bed apartments to four-bed detached homes.
Built to sustainable development standards, it also offers buyers a free year's membership of Durham Wildlife Trust and discounts on water butts and home composters.
