Ryhope progressed to the next stage of the Durham Coast League Fred Foster Cup competition defeating Bill Quay by six wickets, writes MALCOLM PRATT.
Malley was in good form with the bat for the home side scoring 39 of his team's total of 71 but the innings was dominated by James Batey who captured five wickets for a meager six runs.
When they went to the wicket Ryhope won losing four of their batsmen. Martin McBeth top scored with 23 and for Bill Malley completed a good night's performance capturing three wickets for just 17 runs.
