A charity night, organised by the family and friends of 16-year-old North-East girl Adele Puckrin who died in November of a brain tumour after a two-and-a-half year battle, raised £975.
The event at New Marske Sports Club, east Cleveland, on May 14 included a raffle, bingo and pie and peas supper. The money will help to fund a social worker for teenagers diagnosed with cancer. The social worker, from Sargent Cancer Care for Children, would be based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
