MORTON ON SWALE international Nicola Tweddle will be among the contenders at this weekend's Windsor International three-day event, a two star competition which will take place in the parkland surrounding the glorious Berkshire castle.
The 27-year-old - 20th at the four star Badminton event last month on her top ride Skiver - has entered her eight-year-old bay Mr Pickwick VI.
She has owned the horse from a two-year-old, so has done all the training herself to bring him to international level.
She said: "Mr Pickwick had a virus at the beginning of the season, which put him out of action. That means he's only had two one-day runs this year, but he has gone nicely at both. This will be his first time at Windsor and only his second attempt at a two star event."
The Windsor three-day event is making a comeback after a year's break for restructuring.
Nicola goes into the event in fine form after success at the weekend at the Floors Castle one-day event in Scotland.
She headed the novice area final there on Opposition Buzz, a new ride this year.
The victory takes the pair on to the British Novice Championships at the Festival of British Eventing, at Gatcombe in Gloucestershire, in August.
Nicola went on to finish 12th in the CIC** International one-day event staged at Floors Castle, which was won by Barnard Castle-based Olympic rider Karen Dixon on her great campaigner Too Smart.
Nicola rode Don't Underestimate and added just 6.8 cross-country time faults to her dressage score.
