North Yorkshire League: Week four of the league season ended with three home wins and a draw.
Oak Lodge moved to the top of the league with an excellent away point at Fox Hall. Each team scored 170 points each with David Lain, from Fox Hall, top scoring with a 24.
Stokesley had the week off and dropped down to second. Urlay Nook remained third with a comprehensive 164 to 146 home win over Great Smeaton. Paul Dowson and Mick Shadbolt were top shots with 22s for the home team.
Top scorer of the evening was I Mullarkey from Spennymoor with a perfect score of 25. Spennymoor bouyed with his high score ran out 172 to 146 winners over visitors Hardwick Hall.
Thimbleby moved up to fifth in the league with a 163 to 139 home win over visitors Marne. Veteran Peter Masters top scored with a 21 for the visitors whilst Tom Andrew, Ray Spence and Wayne Laville top scored for Thimbleby with 22s.
After four weeks, the league classes are starting to form. John Garside from Oak Lodge leads AA Class with 91 ex 100, K Young (OL) leads A class with 86, Captain of Hardwick Hall, Phil Humphries is 5 points clear of his nearest rival with 76 in B Class. H Stephenson (OL) leads C Class with 75. Leading Colt is Jeremy Bird with 77, Jan Griffiths leads the Ladies class with 60 and Arthur Foster leads the veterans with 70.
The league table after four weeks is as follows: 1st Oak Lodge played 4, points 7; 2nd Stokesley 3, 6; 3rd Urlay Nook 3, 5; 4th Spennymoor 4, 5; 5th Thimbleby 4, 4; 6th Gt Smeaton 4, 2; 7th Marne Cc 3, 2; 8th Fox Hall 3, 1; 9th Hardwick Hall 4, 0.
