RESIDENTS in east Cleveland are being reminded that no repeat prescriptions are available from GP surgeries on Saturday mornings.
Since April 1, GP surgeries in the Langbaurgh area have been closed on Saturday mornings meaning that no repeat prescriptions can be issued or collected from these premises after Friday evening surgery.
A spokesperson from Langbaurgh Primary Care Trust said: "It is essential that patients have ordered and collected such items from the GP surgeries within opening hours, Monday to Friday.
"Most pharmacies have a collection service and some have a delivery service as well. Patients should contact their local pharmacist for details."
Anyone needing urgent health services when their GP surgery is closed is asked to call (0870) 240 6518.
The out of hours period runs from Monday to Thursday from 6pm to 8am; at weekends from Friday 6pm to Monday 8am, and throughout Bank Holidays.
