Crook Individual League
Darren Tinkler strengthened his lead at the top of the table with two good wins. In his first match he whitewashed Stephen 'Potter' Heyes with excellent clearances in the first and third frames, whilst being able to add the scrappy second. He followed that up with an odd point success against Les Scott, who was unfortunate in the first when a slow roll up the table drifted to give Tinkler two on the black. Tinkler added a second tactical frame but Scott was able to reduce the arrears in the tactical third.
Stephen 'Potter' Heyes failed to live up to his name when he created a league record by being whitewashed in three matches on one night. After losing to Darren Tinkler he suffered similar fates against Simon Bowey and David Craggs.
Lee Cullinan took advantage of a late foul from Gerald Park to clear up and move one ahead. However Parkin was able to level when he took charge at the end of a tactical frame. Cullinan looked to be in charge of the decider when he took six balls, but eventually fell foul to a snooker and Parkin cleaned up his seven and the black.
Lee Scott took the first two frames against Simon Bowey, who managed to save the whitewash despite putting his break shot on the floor. Scott failed in his clearance attempt with Bowey winning the tactical end game.
Darren Tinkler leads the league by three points with the unbeaten David Craggs in second place with two matches in hand. David Stephenson has moved into third place, two points adrift of Craggs but with an extra match played.
Results: Les Scott 1 Darren Tinkler 2; David Craggs 3 Stephen Heyes 0; Simon Bowey 1 Lee Scott 2; Gerald Parkin 2 Lee Cullinan 1; Darren Tinkler 3 Stephen Heyes 0.
