The Barnard Castle Meet starts with the crowning of the Meet Queen at Scar Top today, at 11am.
The main procession will be held on Bank Holiday Monday, at 1pm, and will feature floats, bands and other vehicles.
Activities will include a boat race on the River Tees today, and a car boot sale held on the Demesnes, starting at 7am on Monday.
Other events taking place in the town include the Barnard Castle Steam Fair, which will be held at Streatlam Farm, from today until Monday, and the second Barnard Castle Blues Festival, which will start at 12.30pm, in the car park of The Redwell Inn, tomorrow.
