NEW summer bus services to the Yorkshire Dales will make it easier for people living in urban areas to visit the National Park.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority is funding additional routes to cater for an expected increased number of visitors to the Dales in the summer.
Swaledale and Hawes will be served every Sunday by the 830 from Darlington and Richmond, operated by Arriva Darlington.
Malham will get a new 843 Stagecoach service from Preston, Blackburn, Accrington and Burnley.
Extra 805 Sunday services by Arriva Yorkshire to connect Wakefield, Leeds, Otley and Ilkley, in West Yorkshire, with the Dales will also be in operation.
The new additions will run alongside the 805 Dales Bike Bus, which runs every Sunday until October and allows cyclists to transport bikes to and from the National Park using a purpose-built trailer.
The Malham Tarn shuttle will also be in operation on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays until October 31 and runs 12 times a day from Malham National Park Centre to Malham Tarn.
For further information on all services call the National Travel line on 0870 608 2608.
