GIRLS from a Darlington school have proved themselves just as talented as the boys when it comes to football.
The girls from Whinfield Junior School recently scooped a trophy double.
They beat off competition from across the town to win the Darlington primary schools' girls football league and cup.
Headteacher Pauline Wood said: "It's a fantastic achievement - a real example of girl power."
