TWO men have been arrested following the suspected murder of a man in a seaside town.
Police were called to a disturbance at Beacon House, a residential tower block in a quiet corner of Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, on Monday night.
A 43-year-old man, who was not thought to be a resident there, was found with mutliple stab wounds shortly after 10.20pm.
It is understood a witness told police that a man was seen running away from the scene.
Detectives later arrested two men in connection with the murder inquiry, and were continuing to question them yesterday at North Shields police station.
