YOUNGSTERS are being invited to go on a minibeast hunt as part of National Insect Week.
Harrogate and District Naturalists' Society and the Killinghall Moor Conservation Group have teamed up for the event on Sunday, June 27.
Teresa Marshall, who will lead the exploration with her husband Robert, said: "Killinghall Moor is an ideal habitat for minibeast hunting.
"After more than twenty years of working to interest children in nature, we've found insects are a great introduction to wildlife."
The minibeasts will be caught, studied and released where they were found.
The afternoon will be suitable for adults and accompanied children, who can borrow equipment to observe the creatures.
Places can be booked by calling Mr and Mrs Marshall on (01423) 504186.
