HEXHAM Horse Trials take place this weekend with 500 competitors in action over a course built in undulating countryside around the site of the Battle of Hexham in 1464.
Top international riders Lucinda Green, Ian Stark and Ruth Friend will compete alongside many well-known local names at a venue which is ideal for spectators.
Car parking costs £5 and refreshments will be available.
The course is open for cross-country schooling on Monday and on Monday, July 19, pre-booked £15, £20 on the day. Contact Mel Renwick on 01669 640223
