Murton were bowled out for just 57 which included 31 by Daniel McNamee when they met Hylton in the U15 division.
Runs were more plentiful when Hylton batted first and ended with 147 for six on the board. Phil Coomber top scored with 43, Keith Northway ended undefeated on 31 and Liam Barnett scored 24.
Daniel McNamee was the most successful bowler in the Murton attack ending with figures of two for 22.
In the William Orton Cup there were wins for Boldon CA and Peterlee.
Gary Frater made a magnificent 95 as Boldon reached 147 for five with three of the wickets falling to Chris Basham at a cost of 29 runs.
Bill Quay never got within reach of the formidable target and were all out for 59 which included a top scoring 20 by Adam Richardson. Karl Bellerby took three wickets for ten runs, Tony Lincoln two for one and Stephen Wraith excelled capturing three wickets without conceding a run.
Peterlee also reached the next round but they had just one run to spare over Ryhope.
Batting first Peterlee ended with 89 for five on the board which included 32 by Craig Winter and 27 from Paul Griffiths.
Hutchinson with two for 20 was the most successful bowler for Ryhope who when they went into bat were just two runs short of victory ending with 88 for six. Howe top performed scoring 24 and for Peterlee Adrian Jay had two for 23 and Paul Griffiths two for 16.
