Two players made half-centuries when Lanchester entertained Greenside and won a high scoring game by eight wickets, writes Malcolm Pratt.
Glen Scott was the first to pass 50 and ended on 55 out of a Greenside total of 123 for four while Lanchester's Ben Cleery led his team to victory contributing 51.
In contrast, bowlers dominated the fixture between Annfield Plain and Whickham and non did better than the Plains' Craig Johnson who had a hat-trick in the outstanding figures of four wickets for one run in two overs.
Whickham were all out for 34 but when Annfield Plain batted first they too found run making difficult and were back in the pavilion with 65 runs on top. Graeme Brinton top scored with 28 and in the Whickham attack Murton captured five wickets for 15 runs in five overs and Quershy three for 11 from the three overs he delivered.
Consett won at Crookhall by 14 runs. When they made first use of the wicket the Steelman ended with 91 for five which included a top scoring 21 by Cox. Paul Greenwell bowled well for Crookhall conceding nine runs taking a couple of wickets.
In reply Crookhall finished with 77 for six as Walls claimed three for 24 and Rose two for nine.
Foster's Northumberland Juniors U15s
Tynemouth had eight wickets in hand defeating South Northumberland in the U15 division, writes Malcolm Pratt.
Tom Akenhurst hit a couple of boundaries carrying his bat for 42 and Faizal Mohammed struck four fours in 20 as South North posted 86 for seven.
Jimmy Coates claimed three of the wickets for 20 runs in five overs and Chad Koen had equally impressive figures of two for seven from the five overs he delivered.
When they went into bat Tynemouth lost a couple of wickets reaching the target. Andrew Smith ended undefeated on 42 with three fours and Faizal Rasool returned two for 33 in five overs.
In the U18 section Tynedale defeated Newcastle City by 36 runs. Joe Barber had no fewer than nine boundaries out of 48 and Hugh Twizell ended with 21 not out out of the Tynedale total of 137 for six. Four of the wickets were taken by Mirza for 27 runs in five overs.
In response Newcastle City ended on 121 for seven which included 25 by Javed, 21 from Rashid and a top scoring 33 from Newcastle's man of the match Mirza.
Thomas Cant was in good from with the ball for Tynedale capturing three wickets for 15 runs in five overs and Neil Tweddle also sent down five overs returning three for 32.
