Sacriston enjoyed a nine wickets victory when they hosted Annfield Plain who they reduced to just 71 all out, writes Malcolm Pratt.
Leathley top scored with 36 for the visitors, while for Sacriston, Philip Laws claimed three wickets for just nine runs, Graeme Stephenson two for 19 and Martin Hubber two for 20. All three youngsters bowled five overs apiece.
Replying Sacriston lost one wickets as Martin Hubber carried his bat for 29 in partnership with Robert Hockaday (16no). Craig Burke made a good 20 before being dismissed.
Lanchester had 39 runs to spare in their game with Greenside. Gregg Halliday made an excellent 84 and Stuart McPhail 38 as Lanchester realised 140 for the loss of three wickets.
Responding Greenside managed only 101 for nine as Gregg Halliday returned the excellent figures of three for 23 and Robert Bell also gave support in the Lanchester attack with figures of three for 32.
Michael Rourke (38) and John Stokoe (33) led Shotley Bridge to a match winning 102 for four against Blaydon who batting first ended on 101 for six.
After making 107 for five Ryton defeated Lintz by seven runs when their opponents replied with 100 losing one wicket.
Burnopfield had 20 runs in hand of Swalwell at the end of a high scoring game. Marcus Peart top scored with 61 as Burnopfield reached 142 for five with three of the wickets falling to Warwick for just 30 runs.
When they went to the wicket Swalwell replied with 122 for two of which George Neavin carried his bat for 58. Chopwell easily overcame Whickham. Adam Tams ended with an excellent undefeated 83 and Craig Willis contributed 23 to the Chopwell total of 139 for four. Two of the wickets to fall were taken by Davison for 24 runs.
Whickham posted 97 for nine in their innings as Karl Wilkinson took three wickets at a cost of seven runs. Stewart ended undefeated with 24 for Whickham.
