ABOUT 200 people have attended the funeral of a bank manager who spent hours fundraising for local causes.
Lloyds Bank manager Charles Wyatt, of Redcar, who died aged 72, raised thousands of pounds for local charities, mainly through his membership of the local Rotary Club.
His funeral was held on Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Saltburn, where he worshipped.
The keen sportsman and cross-country walker led the organisation of the annual Rotary Club's sponsored walk in the North York Moors and was chairman of the parish finance committee.
He also helped many local causes, including New Horizons, a charity based in Middlesbrough that helps people with mental health problems.
He leaves his wife of more than 40 years, Pat, three sons, Andrew, John and Christopher, and grandson, Archie.
