SCHOOL governors, head-teachers and inspectors from 13 European countries will visit the North-East to learn more about educating gipsies and their children.
The 34 delegates from countries such as Albania, Lithuania and Slovenia will stay in Durham and visit a school in Darlington.
On Tuesday, they will visit Eastbourne Nursery School.
Organiser Margaret Hockey said: "They are coming to see how we teach and integrate gypsies and travelers into our schools.
"They will also see how we engage with parents and be taken around local gipsy sites."
