FOOTBALL legend Paul Gascoigne will launch his new biography in the region later this month.
He will sign copies of Gazza: My Story at Waterstone's, in Emerson Chambers, Newcastle, at noon on Friday, June 18.
In the book, Gazza talks in depth for the first time about some of the most famous events in his life, including the injury that threatened his career and what happened when he was dropped from Glenn Hoddle's World Cup squad.
He details his battles with illness from his childhood that led to alcoholism and other health problems, as well as his life away from the spotlight.
He also talks about how he has reached a new maturity, and discusses his hopes and aims for the future now his professional playing career has ended.
The former Middlesbrough and Newcastle star will return to Teesside on Saturday, June 19, for a book-signing at Waterstone's, in Newport Crescent, Middlesbrough, from 5pm.
Gazza: My Story, written by Hunter Davies, is published by Headline and is available priced £18.99.
