IMOGEN Myers is proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the competitive world of dance.
The young dancer has been offered Government-funded places at two national dance schools.
The 11-year-old from Malton, has been offered one of ten places available at Elmhurst, in association with the Royal Ballet, in Birmingham, and one of only eight places at the Arts Educational School in Tring, Hertfordshire.
Her mother Jo, a teacher, said: "I'm proud of her determination, she wanted to do this and she's done it.
"I'm delighted that her talents have been recognised. She loves classical dancing. Ever since she was a small child she's had a natural proclivity for it."
Imogen is currently enrolled at the Kirkham Henry school, in Malton, and has won several cups at past festivals.
She plans to accept the offer from Elmhurst - whose former pupils include West End star Sarah Brightman.
