A TEAM of doctors are now better qualified to help the ambulance service after they passed an emergency training
course.
Nine doctors with the British Association for Immediate Care scheme completed a two-day advanced Basic Trauma Life-Support course at the Tees, East and North Yorkshire Ambulance Service training school, near York.
The doctors support the service by providing additional medical skills above those of a paramedic at road accidents and other incidents.
Six smaller schemes in east Yorkshire, Scarborough, Ryedale, Cleveland, Yorkshire Dales and Whitby, combined to form the re-launched Basic scheme.
