TEESSIDE has been reverberating to the dance rhythms of Africa.
Children in Middlesbrough have been learning how to combine African traditions with western techniques under the tuition of the visiting Sakoba Dance Theatre group.
At the weekend, youngsters explored travel and culture through dance, theatre and music, taking inspiration from the collections in the town's Dorman Museum, which hosted the sessions.
The free activities were part of a Creative Partnerships Tees Valley project. Scheme spokeswoman Amelia Joicey said: "The Sakoba Dance workshops are very popular. It is a wonderful opportunity for children to express themselves."
