FORMER hostage Terry Waite is to give an account of the time he spent in captivity.
Mr Waite will be accompanied by music from acclaimed concert pianist Vincent Billington at Whitby Pavilion Theatre on Friday, as he recounts his 1,763 days as a Beirut hostage.
Mr Billington, who has played with the Halle, Royal Liverpool, Birmingham and BBC Welsh orchestras, will perform music close to Mr Waite's heart as he tells his story.
Mr Waite spent almost four years in solitary confinement during his captivity and, apart from his family, the things he missed most were books and music.
He will meet members of the audience after the concert. To book tickets, which cost £8 for adults and £6 for concession, call the booking office on (01947) 604855.
