A TEESSIDE comedian raised £4,000 at an event in memory of a woman who died of breast cancer.
Chris McGlade, 39, who once streaked across Wembley to raise cash for charity, organised a comedy night to raise money for research into the disease which claimed the life of Shirley Warnes, the wife of his friend Peter Warnes.
The comedian, who was invited to make a second appearance at Hollywood's Comedy Store earlier this year, arranged the fundraising night at the West Two Comedy Club in Redcar.
The evening, held in April, featured local bands, including the Beer Pigs, other comedians and magician.
Mr McGlade presented Lindsay Kay, of Cancer Research UK, with a cheque for £4,000.
