There was a bad omen for England's football team yesterday as their official anthem for the Euro 2004 tournament limped into the singles charts in a disappointing tenth place.
The Farm's All Together Now 2004, a reworking of the Liverpool band's 1990 hit, is attempting to match the success of previous terrace favourites, Three Lions and World in Motion.
Written by Peter Hooton, the track celebrates the unofficial armistice on Christmas Day, 1914, during the First World War and had previously reached number five.
It trailed behind a host of new entries, as gospel singer Mario Winans claimed the number one slot with I Don't Wanna Know.
