A NEW out of school club will be launched in Alanbrooke Barracks, near Topcliffe, in September.
The club will meet in a building within the grounds of Alanbrooke School.
Initially opening times will be from 7.30am until the start of the school day and from the end of school until 6pm during term time only.
The club can take a maximum of 20 children.
A National Lottery paid for the club to be established but organisers are now looking for more funding to provide games and equipment.
The management team appealed to Topcliffe Parish Council for support and councillors agreed to donate £100 towards games and equipment.
A transport link with Topcliffe School was being investigated with the hope that the club could be opened to children from Topcliffe village.
