MAKE-believe heroes Indiana Jones and Zorro mingled with real-life heroines as all the fun of the carnival came to Mickleton at the weekend.
The theme of this year's event was Heroes and Villains with fun-loving people getting into the swing of things with a children's fancy dress parade.
Among the winners were Thomas and Claudia Saxby who scooped prizes for their costumes.
Thomas, seven, came as Indiana Jones complete with bull whip, hat and creepy spiders.
His younger sister Claudia, six, opted for a real-life heroine by dressing as a nurse.
The event was opened by Maureen Anderson, who also handed out the competition prizes, some provided by The Northern Echo.
As well as the fancy dress crowds enjoyed a pipe band, tombola, magic shows, bowling and an afternoon of sports events.
