A TEAM of hospital workers are to take part in a fundraising run.
Nurses and doctors from the Freeman Hospital, in Newcastle, are running in the 5.6-mile Blaydon Race tomorrow. They will be raising cash for the British Lung Foundation.
Respiratory research nurse Barbara Foggo, who is leading the team, said: "Many people running will have first hand experience of lung disease themselves as it can strike anyone at any time.
"Our industrial past in this region has left us with quite a legacy of lung disease, that the British Lung Foundation is committed to conquering."
The charity is looking for more people to raise sponsorship in the race. Anyone interested is asked to contact Barbara North at the foundation on 0191-263 0276.
